Harley discovered puddles yesterday. Well, she’s been running through them for days now that the snow is melting, but she has now actually discovered that they can be used as an endless source of amusement. When she puts her foot down in the water, suddenly there are ripples, and those ripples must be pounced upon and therefore subdued. The problem is that the pouncing produces more ripples.
Then, if one digs into the snow, one discovers even MORE water underneath the snow, so more and more digging must occur. Before you know it, the afternoon is mostly gone, and the water still has not been subdued. A tragedy.
