Ah, Winter

We had our first blizzard of the year last Friday and Saturday.  I think we got about a foot of snow, but it was hard to tell, because the lovely east wind blew it all into 3 foot drifts in the yard.  The temperature has warmed up this week, but the snow has not really melted, except off the sidewalk and other cement locations.  So, thus far anyway, winter has not been too bad.

After the snow settled a bit it made it easier to walk down into the little coulee where there are a bunch of cattail that are in the process of poofing.  I wanted to go down there before it snowed, but alas, I did not.  With a snow suit and boots on, though, at least I did not get snow packed in my shoes and pant legs.

About Kathy

I'm a twenty-something who loves animals, farming, photography and cooking/baking. Luckily enough, photography works really well with the other three subjects, so I carry my camera around practically everywhere. Other than that, my life is pretty uneventful.
