On the Field

We finished the canola yesterday, which was nice, considering the wind was a breezy 80km/h for most of the afternoon.  Happily it didn’t wreak too much havoc on our swaths and from the looks of some of the neighbour’s field, we got off lucky.  We’ve been going all day all week, with only a short breakdown on Friday, so that is nice.  The ‘major storm system’ that was supposed to hit us according to the weather people passed us by, which also helped.

The only good thing about the excessive wind yesterday is that it makes the golden wheat/durum fields look like waves of water.  I think it looks cool.

About Kathy

I'm a twenty-something who loves animals, farming, photography and cooking/baking. Luckily enough, photography works really well with the other three subjects, so I carry my camera around practically everywhere. Other than that, my life is pretty uneventful.
