The Moustache Gene

The day that I took pictures of the little guys also happened to be the day the older ones were feeling pose-y.  So I obliged.  Even though these are all over a year old, I still think they are just as photogenic as the teensy ones.

We have a genetic line in our barn cats that started several years ago with a black and white cat name Moustache Kitty.  Creative, yes.  She was a wild cat, but we did tame some of her kittens.  The majority of her descendants are black and white and almost always have that moustache.  Actually there are a couple of the stripey/grey and white ones that have the moustache too.  These four are, in fact, from that genetic line.  We can always pick out which ones are descendants of Moustache Kitty.  Those kittens from the last post are her grandkittens.  And two of them have the moustache too.

About Kathy

I'm a twenty-something who loves animals, farming, photography and cooking/baking. Luckily enough, photography works really well with the other three subjects, so I carry my camera around practically everywhere. Other than that, my life is pretty uneventful.
