March Showers

Last week when it was so beautiful out, people all around were cheering the arrival of spring.  Unfortunately, since it was not even the middle of March, I was fairly certain they were about to be disappointed.  Turns out, there is still some winter left to go before spring is actually here.  Areas west of here got close to a foot (or maybe more) of lovely, wet snow.  The milk truck driver got stuck four times yesterday before he made it to our house.  We didn’t get that much snow, although we did get a bunch of rain first, and then a inch or two of snow on top of that.

Such lovely weather produces a coating of ice on everything that is facing the wind.  So today, when the sun came out and the sky was clear, I went out with my camera before all the ice melted.   Good thing I did it before noon, because it clouded over and got really cloudy and windy.  It is not fun to lie in the snow, slowly getting wet, when it is cold and windy.

About Kathy

I'm a twenty-something who loves animals, farming, photography and cooking/baking. Luckily enough, photography works really well with the other three subjects, so I carry my camera around practically everywhere. Other than that, my life is pretty uneventful.
