Cobwebs

It’s winter now.  The temperature decided to take a nosedive starting on the weekend.  It went from about +3 to -21 in two days.  It’s been snowing lightly all day today.  It wasn’t windy today, which was quite a nice change, so it actually didn’t feel too bad outside today.  Today I was quite pleased that I don’t have to deal with frozen water lines like I did last year.  Those are not fun.

What is fun is the fact that the cobwebs in our calf barn get all frosty in this cold weather.  The warmer air from the calves must condense and freeze on the cobwebs, which makes the ceiling of the barn look all lacy and pretty.  Until you remember that large, disgusting spiders spun those webs.  Maybe the cold weather will prevent the spiders from reappearing.  One can always hope.

About Kathy

I'm a twenty-something who loves animals, farming, photography and cooking/baking. Luckily enough, photography works really well with the other three subjects, so I carry my camera around practically everywhere. Other than that, my life is pretty uneventful.
