Caramel Corn

It seems to be the time of year for snacking on sweet things.  Actually, I think that season starts with Halloween and doesn’t end until New Year’s.  We get candy on Halloween, and then (some) people start working on their Christmas baking soon after that.  Then, of course, if you live in the States, this weekend is Thanksgiving, so there are all sorts of goodies there.  Then there are Christmas parties, and banquets, etc.  All of it very tasty.

This caramel corn is what I put into the bigger snowflake tin for my prayer sister.  It’s super easy to make and really addicting.  You can even pretend that it is sort of healthyish, since it uses plain popcorn instead of the buttery, salty stuff.  But, the large amounts of brown sugar and butter probably cancel that out.  Oh well.
