It happens every year.  All of a sudden I notice that the sun is disappearing quite early in the evening.  I think that I do notice that the days are getting shorter, but it always seems to strike me right around the middle or end of November that by 5:30 or so it is almost dark out.  It only lasts for about another month, and then this trend will reverse itself.

The downside of having shorter days is that on a busy day, I have much less time to get a photo.  And since my kitchen is painted yellow and I don’t have an external flash (because they are expensive), that really messes with the lighting and I end up taking a black and white one inside to avoid a strangely coloured one.  This was the general plan today, but as I was driving home, the pretty sunset offered me the chance to take a picture of it, instead.

About Kathy

I'm a twenty-something who loves animals, farming, photography and cooking/baking. Luckily enough, photography works really well with the other three subjects, so I carry my camera around practically everywhere. Other than that, my life is pretty uneventful.
