Mini-Blizzard

No, not the teensy ice cream treats they sell at Dairy Queen.   Today it’s about the weather.  We had our first little snowstorm this morning.  It was mostly over by noon, but for a little while this morning, I couldn’t really see across the road.  Then it kind of stopped snowing and it would intermittently sleet or something.  It was really snow, but it kind of looked like little pieces of hail.  Strange.  Then the wind calmed down.  I even went skidooing for a little while this afternoon.

The unfortunate thing about the wind, is that instead of letting all that nice snow just sit on the trees and look pretty, it blew it all off and into little drifts.  Judging by the sounds of the wind whistling outside again, I imagine it is trying to get that last little bit that is caught in the needles of the trees off, too.

About Kathy

I'm a twenty-something who loves animals, farming, photography and cooking/baking. Luckily enough, photography works really well with the other three subjects, so I carry my camera around practically everywhere. Other than that, my life is pretty uneventful.
