It got up to a balmy eleven degrees today. And even though it was windy in the morning, the wind went away in the afternoon, which was nice since we were redoing one wall of our barn today and it is extremely difficult to wrangle plastic, insulation and plywood in windy conditions. Since it wasn’t windy it was really easy and much less frustrating and we got quite a bit done. Hopefully it is just as calm and nice when we go to put the tin on.
Such tropical weather demands ice cream. An ice cream that goes perfectly with the raspberries that I bought yesterday since they were on sale, and an ice cream that goes perfectly with the last piece pumpkin pie that I broke down and bought last week. The same ice cream, my very favourite vanilla bean ice cream, suits both options to a T. I decided to go with the raspberry option, because it seems fresher and more summery. Hurray summer.
