By November most of the trees around here have no more leaves.  Some do, like the lazy tree in front of my parent’s yard.  That tree is late to get leaves and late to lose them.  I don’t really know why it is so lazy, but whatever.  The longer it keeps its leaves, the more time before the lawn needs raking.

I don’t have a lazy tree.  I just have lilacs and evergreens.  The evergreens don’t lose their leaves (obviously) and the lilac leaves just kind of fall right around the tree where they don’t need to be raked.  Hooray.  They don’t really turn fun colours, but they do kind of get reddish around the edges.  (And, a bonus sunset picture.)

About Kathy

I'm a twenty-something who loves animals, farming, photography and cooking/baking. Luckily enough, photography works really well with the other three subjects, so I carry my camera around practically everywhere. Other than that, my life is pretty uneventful.
