Or sofas, or chesterfields, or whatever you want to call them. The youth room at church is full of old and not so old ones that people didn’t want anymore, and didn’t care if they got wrecked in wrestling matches, or whatever else the youth manage to do to them. There are a couple in there that have been there for a really long time. This is likely due to the fact that they are up on risers against the wall and cannot be accessed easily during horseplay to be destroyed.
From time to time, the room becomes too crowded with hand me down couches, and then they have to get rid of some. So they usually do this game called the Great Couch Event where you have to drive around and either video or photograph your group with your couch in various locations, like a drive through (the restaurants don’t like that much) or a ball game, or pushing it down a slide or whatever. It’s even better if you come up with a story to go with your couch. By the end of the evening, the couch is definitely going to be wrecked from hauling it on and off the truck, and whatever else they do to it. Finally it has come to the end of its useful life and it sits at last in a dump, waiting to go up in smoke.
