Broken Teeth

Now that we are done combining, we get to clean up.  And do all the things that we kind of let go while we were busy with that.  So, now we have gotten a bunch of things painted that really needed it, and we are just waiting for the tractor to come back so we can do stuff like bale straw, and clean out the corrals.

So now all the equipment needs to be put back where it came from so it isn’t all parked on the lawn, and the first thing that we did was take the header off the swather so we can put the hay header back on.  I noticed that the teeth on the reel seemed a lot short.  Turns out, when Dad was swathing, the thing that holds the reel up broke and it came down and the knife bit all the ends off the teeth.  So now we get to replace couple hundred teeth before the reel gets parked.

About Kathy

I'm a twenty-something who loves animals, farming, photography and cooking/baking. Luckily enough, photography works really well with the other three subjects, so I carry my camera around practically everywhere. Other than that, my life is pretty uneventful.
