Pumpkin Season

I think it is safe to say it is officially fall.  Yes, we are supposed to have summer-like weather again this week, but grass is basically all brown instead of green, most fields around here are stubble instead of crops, the leaves are either changing colours or just freezing and falling off trees.  Fruit stands/stores are advertising apples and pears and cranberries instead of peaches and nectarines and apricots.  I suppose this means winter is coming, too.

The best thing about fall, food-related that is, to me is pumpkin.  I like pumpkins.  I don’t grow them, but I do buy pumpkin in cans in the store.  Less work.  I can’t wait until Thanksgiving and I can have pumpkin pie.  I am getting sidetracked.  This is about my most favourite pumpkin bread recipe.  I make it every fall (sometimes twice), and it never stops being delicious.
