We have some older vehicles on our yard. Some of which I cannot drive. One, in particular, the fuel truck, I am sure has a personal grievance against me because I can’t start it. I think I have managed to get it started twice. One time resulted in me getting it all the way out to the field, fill the tractor, only to not be able to get it started again to back it away from the tractor.
One other is a Case 500 tractor, whose main job is to pull the bale picker in the summer. I have not actually ever tried to drive it, because it seems a little finicky, you have to press the starter, pull out the choke, fiddle with the throttle, etc. It runs smooth as anything once you get it going. And, as a bonus, there are no computers that beep at you constantly even when you know nothing is wrong with the park brake.
