Colour change

Even though the last week has felt like July, it is apparent that fall is arriving quite quickly.  The sun sets earlier and earlier, nothing is really green anymore (although that could be the fact that it hasn’t rained that much this summer), and as soon as the sun goes down, it gets cool right away instead of staying hot, like it does in July.  Even the calves are starting to be born with thicker hair, instead of their summer hair.

Apart from all of those things, the leaves on the trees are starting to change colour, the ultimate sign of fall.  There is a little section of pasture in the field we were combining today, and it has a couple of random trees.  One side of one of the trees is quite yellow already, while the rest of the tree is holding on to summer and staying green.  I thought it was amusing.

About Kathy

I'm a twenty-something who loves animals, farming, photography and cooking/baking. Luckily enough, photography works really well with the other three subjects, so I carry my camera around practically everywhere. Other than that, my life is pretty uneventful.
