August storm

Between yesterday and today, we have nearly finished my wheat field. It is doing fairly well, except for a patch where the wild oats kind of took over. Guess we’ll have to spray that earlier next year, if it isn’t too wet again. So far it has filled one bin and most of another. If it is dry tomorrow, perhaps we can finish and mostly fill that bin up.

I feel, however, that it will not be dry tomorrow. We had to quit earlier than we would have like to tonight, because it just got too damp. Plus there was a thunderstorm moving in, so we just decided to take everything home instead. This particular cloud didn’t hit us, but someone else will likely get walloped by it tonight. Such is the weather of August around here.

About Kathy

I'm a twenty-something who loves animals, farming, photography and cooking/baking. Luckily enough, photography works really well with the other three subjects, so I carry my camera around practically everywhere. Other than that, my life is pretty uneventful.
