Now that the kittens cannot get into the jungle to pounce on and play with the gladiola (gladioluses? whatever), they are all remaining upright, instead of broken down. Although it is amusing to watch the kittens bump their heads into the chicken wire as they try to enter where they could always get in before, I prefer letting the flowers live so we can see them bloom.

In fact, that is just what they are starting to do. There are two spikes that are just starting to open, and another couple that will in the next few days. I like these flowers, because you never know what colour you are going to get until they open. You can try to peek inside, but it is probably better just to wait.

About Kathy

I'm a twenty-something who loves animals, farming, photography and cooking/baking. Luckily enough, photography works really well with the other three subjects, so I carry my camera around practically everywhere. Other than that, my life is pretty uneventful.
