That is where all rain should stay currently. Far, far away. Too bad it is still relatively humid, so we get forecasts for thunderstorms every day. It is very difficult to make hay when it rains just as it is getting dry enough to bale. Today was very nice drying weather, and the swaths in the ditches became dry enough to bale. Now to wait for the rest of the hay fields to dry.
I sat in the tractor all day, discing, not baling, and as the afternoon went along, I noticed a few clouds slowly getting larger and larger in the east. I hoped that the larger clouds did not mean that they were moving in our direction. It turns out that they weren’t. They were just getting larger so as to be able to dump more rain on a place that needs it even less than we do.
