Oscar has entered his summer time prowling mode. Even right now, he is sitting at the deck door, staring at it, occasionally scratching at it. It is very important to his life to be outside all evening, only coming in to eat. It may have something to do with the fact that there are foxes and such in the backyard that need to be supervised, or whatever. Or it may have something to do with the fact that for a long time he couldn’t go outside because of snow, and then rain, and it is all just catching up to him.
Whatever the case, if he does not get to go outside to prowl he races around inside. This can get quite annoying, especially when one is trying to do things inside. It is difficult to walk around if there is a lurking cat ready to pounce on you. I followed him out earlier this evening to see what was attracting his interest today. Apparently the grass was acting suspiciously.
