Half done

Well, it seems that we are about half done seeding, which is really good, considering that 3 weeks ago it looked like we wouldn’t actually do any seeding until June.   I very nearly got stuck a couple of times today, but managed to make it out and leave a few ruts in the meantime.  Even Rusty came out to the field today, since we are right behind the yard and she likes to jog out to the field to see if she can catch mice or gophers. And she did catch a few mice, but all that running kind of bothered her leg, and she was sore this evening.

It was still excessively windy today, so much so that some of our trees were starting to fall over, since the ground is still so soft.  So we had to tie them down.  They decided to stay upright and this evening the wind went away, and it was nice to not feel like you were going to blow into the next province whenever you stepped out of the tractor.  It was quite damp outside, so we quit just after the sun set, which was also very pretty.

About Kathy

I'm a twenty-something who loves animals, farming, photography and cooking/baking. Luckily enough, photography works really well with the other three subjects, so I carry my camera around practically everywhere. Other than that, my life is pretty uneventful.

  1. Amazing photos you have here. What camera did you use?

Thanks! My camera is a Canon T1i and I like it a lot. I have only had it a year, but so far I really enjoy learning how to use it and to improve my photography.
