Winter, that is. We had a lovely early spring storm for the second weekend in a row, turning the highways to ice, and making driving difficult. It wasn’t too bad all day, mostly wind and a little snow that melted on my driveway as soon as it landed. By the time I went to do chores at 6:30 it was starting to sit on the driveway, and it was coming down harder. And by 8:30 when I came home, you couldn’t even see where the road ended and the ditch began, since there was so much snow now sitting on the road. This morning, there was a good four to five inches on the yard, a little less on the road where the wind could get at it, but, still, we definitely don’t need this much more snow.
So, now, hopefully it is actually done for good. It started melting today already, and it was nice outside all day, sunny and warm. Now it has to melt all over again, after it made so much progress this past week. Perhaps it’ll melt fast, because this heavy, wet snow is really hard to walk in. And especially hard to do chores in.
