Never ending

Apparently the weather read my sarcasm the other day as a plea for more snow, though I did not mean it that way.  The highways around here are closed, and you would never know that it is almost April.  I almost got stuck leaving work again, although the grader was just coming there to open the road.  But the ruts that were created in the mud last week are now full of snow and he can’t get the blade down far enough to get all the snow out, so driving is difficult anyway.  The milk truck driver says that he is totally sick of this winter.  I don’t blame him, having to drive these roads every other day.

The wind is from the east this time, just to change things up.  So the drift that is now crossing my driveway is past my knees at the point where I drive through it, which generally doesn’t happen when the wind is from the west.  But beside the trees it is even taller.  Maybe someday it’ll be spring, though at this point I am not hopeful.

About Kathy

I'm a twenty-something who loves animals, farming, photography and cooking/baking. Luckily enough, photography works really well with the other three subjects, so I carry my camera around practically everywhere. Other than that, my life is pretty uneventful.
