Gandalf, Bandit and Zorro

What do these names have in common?  Other than all being characters from well known movies?  They are brothers!  Yes, strange as it may seem, these three characters are brothers.  Most of the time they are crazy and racing around the barn, especially Bandit, therefore living up to the movie he was named for, Smokey and the Bandit.  I like to name my barn kittens in themes, and this year, it was literary and film.  Of course, Zorro and Gandalf fit into two of those categories.  It’s just a good thing they all turned out to be boys, because generally I name before I check.  Sometimes they get the short end of the stick, like their older sisters, Bruce and Toby.  Ah well.

These three are this year’s kittens that have made it all the way through this long cold winter without getting sick and needing to be put down.  Three is a pretty strong year for barn cats.  And these three are all quite interesting.  Zorro really likes to lick fingers, Bandit races around constantly, and Gandalf pretends to be a sedate cat, but he really likes to sit up on his hind legs. It was difficult to get non-fuzzy pictures of them, because they don’t sit still very well once you pull out the camera.

About Kathy

I'm a twenty-something who loves animals, farming, photography and cooking/baking. Luckily enough, photography works really well with the other three subjects, so I carry my camera around practically everywhere. Other than that, my life is pretty uneventful.
