We used to have a strawberry patch in our garden. That is, until the dandelions overtook it and we tried to move it to another section of the garden, and they never grew again. Those were the best strawberries anywhere. They were always sweet, unlike the ones you buy in stores sometimes, which can kind of taste like water. So unfortunate for a tasty fruit to taste like nothing. It makes creating milkshakes difficult.
However, yesterday in the grocery store, strawberries were on a major sale. So I bought a container. They are really good, and now I can’t decide what to do with them. Eat them, put them on cereal, make a milkshake, make ice cream. So many choices, and so few berries to do it with. Hopefully I can decided before they go bad.
Ah, the dangers of taking pictures in the good light on the floor with a cat in the house. Good thing he didn’t actually touch them.
