I like buying flowers in the winter. They brighten up the house when it is usually dark when I am home, and add some happiness when it is often cloudy outside. The only problem is that flowers, especially roses, can be expensive in the winter, except the day after Valentine’s. Then you can get beautiful flowers for not much money. When I was in tech school, my roommate was engaged. She went bouquet shopping two days after Valentine’s, and the florist GAVE her (for free) two bouquets of one dozen roses each. One red set and one white set. They were amazing. Free. She said they were just going to go bad before anyone bought them so we got them.
These ones were not free, though they were cheaper than I expected. They are still beautiful, and I got them just as they are starting to open, so I will get to enjoy them for longer. Hurray!
