Blue Skies

It finally stopped snowing overnight.  It seems like it has been snowing ever since Friday night, although I am sure there were periods of time where it didn’t snow.  I actually like the snow, though it would be nice if there were force fields around and over the roads so that the snow could not land there or blow onto there.  Snow makes everything look so clean, especially after late fall, when everything is kind a dirty brown.  Snow covers that all up, and gives us something to do in the winter.  Skiing, skidooing, fort building are all not the same with a relatively snowless winter.

However, snow generally means a constant cover of clouds.  Which can make it hard to take nice pictures, since everything is a solid grey.  Or there is just enough sun shining through the clouds to make everything a blinding white with no definition or shadows.  Today however, it was perfectly sunny.  It’s a good thing sunny winter days are so photogenic, because usually a sunny winter day means that it is quite cold outside, since those lovely clouds that made it hard to take pictures also helped insulate against the cold.  Ah, well.  That’s winter.

About Kathy

I'm a twenty-something who loves animals, farming, photography and cooking/baking. Luckily enough, photography works really well with the other three subjects, so I carry my camera around practically everywhere. Other than that, my life is pretty uneventful.
