A New Year, A New Blog.

Well, actually, it’s not only a new blog, it’s my first blog.  I’ve been wanting to do a 365 challenge, and so I thought to myself, “Self, you have been wanting to practice your photography anyway, why not do one of those picture-a-day blogs?”  And so this blog was born.

I have no grand illusions about my photography.  It’s just something I love to do and want to get better at.  I guess this blog is more about documenting where I am starting from now, and what I can learn and improve on in a year.

Since I also love to cook and bake, it is most likely that many of my shots will be of that particular hobby.  And of my cat, Oscar.  He is often just as still as food and thus is a good subject to practice on.    I suppose I shouldn’t reveal everything that I intend to shoot, otherwise you wouldn’t be surprised when I post new pictures.  You need to have some suspense in life, or else it is boring.

Well, since it is not technically the New Year yet, my 365 days won’t start until January first.  It just feels more like a resolution then, I suppose.  I hope I can stick with it longer than a week, which apparently is the average life of a New Year’s resolution.  Here’s one photo, just to see if I can figure this photo posting thing out.  Mmmmm… vertical pear salad.

About Kathy

I'm a twenty-something who loves animals, farming, photography and cooking/baking. Luckily enough, photography works really well with the other three subjects, so I carry my camera around practically everywhere. Other than that, my life is pretty uneventful.
